Day 24: Let Out Those Feels

For day 24 of #SelfCareSeptember (fashionably late of course), I’m talking about feelings.03ba01358ab766597f80a878bffc2dc4 They’re annoying at times and occasionally we can become slave to our emotions or end up waging war against them in an attempt to control the uncontrollable! We all have emotions and trying to wrangle them can lead to problems… So how about we think about ways to get them out in a non self destructive way. Here are a few ideas of ways to let emotions out in a ‘healthy’ way:

  • Scream into a pillow
  • Shred paper
  • Scribble/play with paint
  • Listen to loud music
  • Watch a film and have a good cry
  • Freewriting
  • Journal or art journal
  • Talk to someone you trust
  • Do some activity or exercise

Try letting those emotions out in a more controlled way to avoid an explosion at a time that you don’t want to see them!!
