It’s day 9 of #SelfCareSeptember and it also happens to be National Fitness Day so the obvious choice for today’s blog was activity as part of your self care toolbox! According to the NHS, an average adult should have around 150 minutes of activity each week. The activity needs to be moderate aerobic activity such as:
- Water aerobics
Anything that makes you breath faster or increases your heart rate is ideal!
It can be hard to stay motivated if you are struggling with low mood or anxiety and finding a balance and doing enough activity without overdoing it is something I have definitely found a bit difficult. It’s taken a lot of time and practice to work out the right balance for me but it’s been worth it.
